SURROUNDING AREA
Our Loft is conveniently located in the Rosedale/Yorkville area on a major roadway, Yonge Street, in Toronto. It is located on Yonge Street, between Davenport Road and Belmont Street.
Due to our loft’s location, you can easily walk to the Yonge and Bloor area, Yorkville, up Yonge Street in the Rosedale corridor, and as far as University of Toronto and the ROM Museum. As such, within walking distance, you will find many shops, local and international, sites of interest, schools, cinemas, theatres, and many, many restaurants and bars.
Our loft is located between two subway stations, Rosedale station to the north, about 5-10 mins walk, and Yonge and Bloor station to the south, about 10 mins walk. When driving, it is within short driving distance to most attractions in the city. It is close to several luxury hotels including the InterContinental Toronto Yorkville, the Four Seasons, the Park Hyatt, and the Windsor Arms Hotel.

OUR FAVOURITES
This guide was specifically written for our guests and serves to provide you with information about nearby shops, with comments from our own experiences.
FOR PROVISIONS
Canadian Tire across the street at 839 Yonge Street, while not too exciting a place, has most paper and cleaning supplies.
FOR FOOD
The four to five shops on a Yonge Street strip, about 10-15 mins walk, northbound, have some of the best produce in the city. They also have free parking on the side.
They include:
Harvest Wagon, at 1103 Yonge Street
tel: 416-923-7542
open Mon to Sat: 8am to 7pm; Sun: 8am to 6pm
Although a bit more pricey than other places, here you will find every fruit and vegetable, from far and wide, fresh and exotic, tasting real and lasting longer. They carry dairy products, juices, and also have a prepared food section. They have recently expanded, and now include quite a large number of produce.
Worth a visit.
Olliffe Butcher Shop, at 1097 Yonge Street
tel: 416-928-0296
open Mon to Fri: 8:30am to 7pm; Sat: 8am to 6pm; Sun: 10am to 5pm
If you plan to cook, this place has very good meat, from various steaks to pork to chicken, and include smoked meat and frozen broths. Our favourites are the pork shoulder capicola cuts, ribeye steaks and veal chops.
They are considered to be on the pricey side, but worth it for special occasions. The butchers are all friendly and helpful, and will prepare you cuts however you want them. They also give cooking tips.
Pisces Gourmet Seafood Specialty Shop, at 1097 Yonge Street
www.piscesgourmetseafood.foodpages.ca

open Mon: 11am to 6pm; Tues to Fri: 9am to 6:30pm; Sat: 9am to 6pm; Sun: 11am to 5pm
We have not gone there much since their new ownership, but produce still good.
